I’ve been using an old scanner to scan my photos to jpeg, and while the scanner still works, the scans are not sharp. I mentioned this to a friend who has an iPhone, and she told me that she uses her phone to scan prints, and it does a great job. She showed me some examples. Indeed, they were better than what I get with my scanner. I have a Samsung S23+. I’ve scanned documents with my phone, and while the results were useable, they were inferior to what I get with an actual scanner, so I never thought of scanning my photos with the phone. Now I tried it with my S23. The results were very poor, extremely blurry on a 1:1 scale. I tried both Photo Mode and Pro Mode with the Camera app, getting the same results. So is this something that Android phone cameras can’t do, or is there a way to get a good scan result for a photo on the S23+?
