Should I be getting Android 12 by now?

1. You don't need to update every month. Once you flash a valid version that was released broadly to the EU region, OTAs will work fine

2. Software-related services for mobile devices is quite literally our job. We don't need anyone to teach us anything

Are you able to assist me in installing an update once that 1) enables future OTA updates and 2) doesn't wipe the data already on my phone?

That would be amazing!

I bought a used Galaxy S21 Ultra from SmartFoneStore (UK).

Settings > About phone > Software information tells me I'm running One UI v3.1 (Android 11).

Settings > Software update > Download and install tells me:

That all seems rather out of date?
Hi OP
To bring this back to topic, how long ago you bought this device? What do you want a do? Can you return it ?

Two days before I realised. However, I've got it all up and running how I like it.

SmartFoneStore said they'll have it back and send me a UK one in the same condition for the same price but if MNMobileGuy can assist with me installing an update once that 1) enables future OTA updates and 2) doesn't wipe the data already on my phone, I'll just do that and keep this. I mean, dual-SIM baby :D

The UK version is dual SIM.

Ironass knows more than me about CSC stuff but I think you would have to flash the Luxembourg firmware in order to get OTA updates. You can't keep the UK firmware.

The file names for BTU and LUX firmware are all identical. Either firmware can be cross-flashed, at will

Another possible reason to keep it (if I can get OTA updates enabled): Snapdragon.

On the S21s, it was better in almost every way (performance, battery, camera processing etc) than the Exynos.

Not sure what to do.

The MXO for Mexico, G998B, is the Exynos, international, model... not Snapdragon.

Oh! Then I'll definitely get it swapped Thank you.

Be warned.... Snapdragon models are not fully compatible with all U.K. bands and you may end up with a 4G/LTE phone.

Plus, since Samsung do not sell or support the Snapdragon model in most countries, worldwide, you will not receive the 2 year European warranty and may be required to post it off to the phone's country of origin for repairs. USA or China for instance.
