I have a windows 10 PC with a hard drive, and had roughly 20gb of videos on my Android Samsung S10E. A while ago I transfered these videos from my phone onto my PC and removed them from my phone.

Now that I want to copy them back onto my phone, it only works for ~50% of the files, I'm using a USB cable to connect. It begins the copying progress popup, estimate 10 mins or so, and after about a minute it just stops. No errors, no warnings, nothing. It just stops copying files. Quite frustrating. I have more than enough space on my phone. It's set to "USB file for transfer" mode too, s10 samsung phone. I couldn't find anything in the event viewer. Any ideas? I also tried copying about 20 files at a time, same problem.

Is there a resolution option for you to pick, and which one did you?
OP is just copying the file from one location to another using (I assume) the Windows File Explorer. The resolution of the video within that file has nothing to do with that process.

Just spitballing a few ideas:

Are all of the videos that won't transfer to your phone still playable on your PC? Some files could have been corrupted in the transfer from your phone to your PC. If they are corrupted, there are times that corrupted files just don't transfer well - and you don't want to transfer them, anyway.

Have you done a chkdsc on your PC to make sure your harddrive doesn't have any errors and that File Explorer is working properly? Info HERE.

Have you tried a 3rd party transfer app?

To add : HD record limit is 10 min on S9+
I'm not sure if this is a limiting factor in this case, but it might be relevant.

Try copying pc to pc (if you have another) to rule this out
Good luck

They are all playable on the pc, yes. Chkdsc gave no errorss. I could try a 3rd party app, are there any that can simply transfer via USB?

Even still this behavior is weird. I even tried copying ~10 files at a time, no dice. I can't even keep track which ones it downloaded and which it didn't, so how am I ever supposed to simply transfer all the files :(

Very strange. You should, under normal circumstances, have no trouble transferring files from a Windows 10 computer to your device. Just spitballing and throwing out some troubleshooting possibilities:

1. You have read and tried to transfer the files as per Microsoft support HERE?

2. You have read and tried to transfer the files as per Android Support HERE?

3. You have tried to transfer the files using a different USB cable?

4. You have tried to transfer the files that are not transferring over Bluetooth (will take longer than over USB)? Info HERE.

5. You have tried disabling all VPN, Antivirus/Antimalware and ad-blocking software on both devices for the duration of the transfer?

6. You have updated your Android version and system updates to the most current available for your phone?

I have not used 3rd party file transfer software in a long time, so I am uncertain what to recommend. AirDroid was big a few years ago. I suggest you go to the Google Play Store and find one with good reviews and millions of downloads if you want to try that route. Any reason you are still on 10? You may not encounter the same issue if you update to 11.
