I'm unimpressed with the S23u/S24u, & was looking at dxomark ratings.

Would any of the following be easy to use on Verizon/ATT/maybe Tmobile?
find x7 ultra, find x6 pro
magic6 pro, magic5 pro, 200 pro
xiaomi 13/14 pro/ultra

I've had a Mi Mix in the past. Cool phone at the time. Only problems I remember were installing a rom & then having to adjust the APN settings once in a while. Think I was using it with Verizon. These phones don't seem to be nearly as popular on US forums

I have to travel a lot, so it's probably better to just stick with Samsung. I don't want to be stuck in an airport trying to figure out roaming or something. Kind of disappointed with the camera/charging options after all these years. At least I'll have the options for Mint/Visible/USMobile.

Welcome to AC!
Those phones you listed not sure how well they would work on US carriers if any chance the best option out of them would be Att or T-Mobile.

I'm surprised you're disappointed in the s23/s24
What about a Pixel?

Thanks, I'm surprised there aren't more hobbyists using Chinese phones in the US. I guess the problems are not worth the minor benefits.

Whenever I look at Pixels, they seem to have a worse camera, and similar problems to Samsung/Apple. Seems to be a sidegrade/downgrade from Samsung flagships to me, but a bit lower cost/lower resale.

It's hard to put a price on upgrading to a s24u. Flat + matte screen. Hopefully better battery. 60-65% charge in 30 minutes. Main camera reviews are mixed when comparing to 5 year old flagships. I don't benefit much from selfie/video upgrades. Night mode should be improved.

Not really worth >$300 IMO, for my casual needs. I was hoping for a near-perfect camera & true 1-2 day battery after 5 years.

I would strongly disagree with the notion that Pixels have a worse camera. Pixels have one of the best camera experiences in the industry, if not the best. This can be subjective, of course, but most tech journalists agree with the superb quality of Pixel photos. Remember that the camera hardware itself is not as important as the post-processing these days. If you want to see a bunch of my samples, check out the photos thread in the Pixel 7 forum here, which I unabashedly kind of took over.

I have to agree with B. Diddy for the pixel camera Top Notch, as for the Chinese brand I've only had One plus here in the US the other brands haven't had experience but hear some good things.

My current line up of phones from my experience and carry with me daily.

Samsung Fold 6
iPhone 16 pro max
Samsung s24u
Pixel 9 pro xl

Are you saying that you want a device with a curved screen?

I agree regarding the Pixel camera. It is the best IMO for point-and-shoot.

If the OP wants to use manual camera settings, then I'd recommend Samsung.

Here's Pixel 9 pro XL vs S24u camera

For main camera, I think I went @75/25 split, in favor of s24u.
Looks like Pixel has better selfie cam. Looks like s24u has stuttering with video (think there's a known issue with a possible zoom stutter problem with video)

For me, there's not much argument for a Pixel. DXOmark agrees that the Pixel has a much better camera. Apparently terrible battery/charging though. Maybe the Pixel has better storage options. And lose the stylus

Again, for everyday main camera stuff, I'm not seeing the value in upgrading from an older phone.
S24u vs N10+ camera -
Just personally speaking. I have a hard time time tallying up bonuses to outweigh the stack of cash
