Sorry to
hear read of that too.

I think of all our lost ones as well.
We've lost 9 pets in the last 30 years, but it oddly feels like we've lost a lot more.

• 6 cats
• 3 Llewellin English Setters
(18) . . total in my lifetime
On a brighter note . . . we adopted & thus rescued a new kitty a couple days ago! From where she was living with approx 8 other kitties & cats – at an educational & petting farm called
Critter Barn, in Zeeland MI (next door to where we were visiting the nationally renowned
Holland Tulip Time Festival, in neighboring Holland Michigan), that accepts, in partnership with the humane society shelter (ref below), outsourced & especially healthy cats – for their 'cat rooms' petting area.
She's
suuuuuuch a little slim string bean of a Sweetheart!

But of course currently really needs to catch-up on the last couple months of rather inadequate and/or interrupted cat naps & deep sleeps!

She was found as a stray and taken to a Harbor Humane Society shelter, in Mt. Olive Michigan, where she got the full treatment! . . . Tested for everything - all 100 % negative/clean; Revolutionized (for fleas, ticks, heartworms &c); given additional Heartworm prev meds; dewormer prev meds; spayed; micro-chipped; vaccinated for everything + rabies, and a pedicure!
We named her ... 'Idgie'

... as in 'Idgie Threadgoode', the Whistle Stop Café owner & Bee Charmer in
Fried Green Tomatoes
