I spent some time playing Pubg Mobile last night and today and have to say the performance is very smooth on it. I cranked up the graphics on it. My phone definitely got a little warm but performance wasn't affected by it.

Has anyone else had any experience with any graphic intense games on their Pixel 4?

Also I miss the game launcher that Samsung has built into One UI. It allows you to turn off notifications, adjust screen brightness, volume when you launch a game. I did try one app called gaming mode that allow this but I'm curious if it's necessary or in any way slows down the performance. It's really more of a convenience than necessity.

I also am skeptical of any gaming mode apps that claim to give your phone a boost.

I'm only just testing using this app and can report back after a while using it vs. not using it.

I'm interested to see what you find out of testing that app...keep us posted!

To call what they do 'Boosting' is dodgy... The only thing that can do is stuff like silence notifications, etc.. let you play without getting bothered.

In and of itself, there's no app you can install that will give you a significant increase in a resource heavy thing like gaming. That requires some serious system level modifications that need, at minimum, root access, and usually a custom kernel and system software.

Not looking at some of these apps in more detail, they smell like those snake-oil 'Cleaner' apps that wrap a bunch of settings you can change yourself into a different interface while they try to get you to buy other stuff. So be on the lookout.
