This is the area near Flam, Norway, along the west coast not too far from Bergen. We found an apartment to rent for 2 nights that sits high above the fjord. Amazing. The family are sheep farmers so, there are sheep all over. We did a ferry cruise today that was awesome! Rains start tomorrow...

It is a beautiful place. We are in Stockholm now for the next couple days and already it's showing itself to be a stunner in it's own way. We've talked about this trip for years and it's beating our expectations

Thanks, we weren't even sure about including it in the trip. We thought we might get caught up in the many fjords and mountains along Norway's west cost, but then the weather turned, so we headed into Sweden. Glad we did We got plenty of time here.

When we visited Copenhagen last year, the guide told us that the harbor authorities had a number of the mermaids heads in storage for replacement due to people sawing them off. I kid you not.
