Video recording during whatsApp call

Hello,
Yesterday, while I was in a whatsApp call with my boyfriend, a security guard attacked him. My boyfriend started recording everything but didn´t hang the call up. Stupidly, I thought that the cellphone records both audio tracks (call and external). The video only has the call audio and therefore my boyfriend can´t demonstrate that the security guard insult and hit him. Is there any way of recovering the external audio?

Unless the audio was recorded elsewhere, there is no way to recover this as it was never saved. WhatsApp (or any approved audio/video call app) records automatically without user prompt or keeps recordings post-call.

Unfortunately, if the external audio wasn’t recorded separately, there’s no way to recover it. WhatsApp calls don’t record or save external sounds by default.
