A strange white line is appearing on top of all the Android devices I'm using. I know it's not just my own devices, it's other people's as well.

I'm not sure why this is happening, but any help with how to get rid of it would be appreciated.

(I attached a screenshot of it as well.)

Thank you.

Does it appear when connected to a specific network?

Also if I were you I wouldn't really bother about a single line at the edge of the screen, which is barely visible.

It doesn't matter what network I'm connected to, it's happening on my Android devices and other people's as well. Curiously, it dose not happen on desktop units, just mobile devices.

Also, when viewing a video on a decent size platform, it's more than just a barely visible line, it's quite noticeable.

( I should mention that if it's not happening to any of you then perhaps it has something to do with the networks we are connecting to in this specific area.)

It happens in any video I play online with Google Chrome, and only in full screen mode, not ones that are stored locally on the device.

I don't think it matters what the specifications are for my phone, because it's happening to different people I know with various Android devices around here. (Oakland county, MI and the tri-county area.)

This "and other things" have only been happening in the past week, it's rather frustrating.

I appreciate the help from everyone though.

Ok, now I see it when playing a YouTube video on the mobile site. You can send feedback to Google about it in the Chrome app's menu (under Help & Feedback). Since it's not present in the YouTube app, I suggest using video streaming apps instead of their corresponding websites when you can.

Thanks for your solution -- I suspect that most people would not want to resort to a factory reset for something like this, though. Let us know if it returns at some point!
