It's been long enough - some input on screen protectors?

I'm looking for the best film screen protector from Amazon that's under $15. Don't really care for the tempered glass protector.

The best ones are the ones that come with alignment help and apply like this... Brands are all pretty similar. I took these screenshots from the LK one but like I said the different brands are pretty similar.

Well, I purchased a three pack of the AmFilm tempered glass screen protector this morning. I'm on my second Whitestone Dome protector for my S22 Ultra and the quality of the glass doesn't appear to be the same as previous years, particularly with the oleophobic coating. Have had major issues with the protectors getting what appears to be a permanent residue.

Looks like AmFilm is a good product. Their customer service is better too.

One thing I forgot to mention in my reply to this thread. I don't know if other people have mentioned it.

My number one gripe with screen protectors is how the touch and feel is affected, the smoothness of the finger sliding across the display. I absolutely hate that plasticky, sticky film feeling whenever you have a protector on.

I cannot give up that ultra smooth finger
across glass feeling on a naked display. Film protectors ruin that completely.

You might consider AmFilm Hybrid. Feels like glass, super-thin, fp reader works perfectly.

I only have experience with the WSD - it does have the glass feel, but I couldn't stand the sharp edges and the camera cutout.

My screens have held up well for the last couple of years naked. Just a few micro scratches.

Also, I realized that with my Assurion insurance through Verizon, a screen replacement doesn't cost any more than the WSD.

And finally, I hated the FPS experience with the screen protector.

Just purchased my first AmFilm protector yesterday. Told Whitestone Dome that I'd like to see other people, after exclusively using Whitestone Dome protectors for the past four years.

Is it working for you?

The AmFilm three pack arrives on Sunday. I've got my last Whitestone Dome protector on my S22 Ultra currently. Going to roll with it until it fails, or I damage it. Next installation will be with the AmFilm product.

I just purchased a 2 pack of the am film elastic film screen protector from Amazon and should arrive sometime later today. Hope this works as well as others as said it does.

My review of the AmFilm Hybrid is for the S22. Can't talk to how well the product manages a curved screen.
Besides that point, the AmFilm should work perfectly with your fp sensor, and it'll feel just like glass, but without the thickness and sharp edges of typical tempered glass products.

If I was to ever consider trying a screen protector, it would be something just like this. Sounds nice :D

I don't have any patience for fingerprint reader that doesn't work first time every time. Perhaps one time in three my first attempt works. If I need to try twice I can type in a password faster.

Due to the flex glass film screen protector I have to push pretty hard for fpr to work. This means I can't use fpr when phone in vent holder in car.

I really miss the old fpr device on the back of my Note 9.

Those pre-in-the-display-glass FPRs were great! I have an old Tab s3 that has a button FPR. It always works on first attempt.
:)

I read somewhere that the N20U TPU film type protectors work. Ill test it tomorrow as I have spares of those.

Oddly enough, I bought the Verizon screen protector and am extremely pleased. I can barely tell that it's on and it came with alignment assistance for an easy bubbleless install.

I finally couldn't stand the faulty fp reader and smudged hybrid flex screen and peeled it off. What a waste of $. Now the fp reader works and my screen isn't always filthy.

I'll be sad when I scratch and break the screen but I couldn't stand the protector another minute.
